Well, it was inevitable, Zach turned one yesterday. With the help of his bigger siblings we planned a little gathering with a theme that was a little bit of everything. We had a dinosaur cake since Zach was getting a Little People dinosaur cave to go with his dinosaurs he got for Christmas. David put chicken on the rotisserie out on the grill and Zach ate his favorite meal, chicken and roasted sweet potatoes. He wasn't too into the opening presents - he wanted to play with the old toys that were in the toy box. He did have help from his cousins and brother and sister to get the new toys out. He also was a little frightened by the Happy Birthday song when everyone gathered around to sing. He didn't like the gooy frosting from the cake so, there were parts of the party he could take or leave. I think he may have enjoyed it more if he would have had an afternoon nap but lately he thinks he only needs one nap a day. Oh well, that is where we are at a year old! He loves his new toys and looks adorable in the new clothes that Grandma and Grandpa gave him.
